IPIC maintains and visits the "OM Sciences Company" , the "Innovation Base of Intellectual Property for Small and Medium sized Enterprises"

On May 16, 2024, the IPIC IP Innovation Alliance team maintained and visited the "SME IP Innovation Base".
Prof. Shirly Ling, President of IPIC, and Mr. Dewitt Chik Chik, Vice Chairman of IPIC, walked into OM Sciences Company Limited in person.

Prof. Ice Ngai from OM Sciences received the IPIC team. The two sides exchanged views on "the current production and operation status of enterprises, intellectual property protection, scientific and technological innovation and development, and enterprise market demand".
Founded in 2018, OM Sciences is a microelectronics R&D company at the Hong Kong Science Park that develops cutting-edge sensor technologies for various fields such as medical, healthcare, environment and construction. Unlike the semi-metallic materials used in conventional sensors, the active materials used in the sensors are organic semiconductor polymers with π-conjugated properties for the manufacture of sensor chips. OM Sciences also won the Best R&D Award in the IPIC Hong Kong Technology Innovation Competition under the SME IP Innovation Base.

Prof. Shirly Ling, President of IPIC, said, "IPIC will continue to explore and create an endless SME IP Innovation Base under the guidance of the development direction of the digital economy, so as to make "IPIC contributions" to the development of intellectual property innovation and technology in Hong Kong and empower high-level Hong Kong I&T enterprises. Work together to promote the development of innovation and technology in Hong Kong, give full play to the advantages of resource endowment, and actively contribute to the development of innovation and technology in Hong Kong! ”

Maintain and visit the "SME IP Innovation Base for SMEs Intellectual Property Innovation Base" enterprises to collect opinions and suggestions on intellectual property rights put forward by enterprises, understand the current production and operation status of enterprises and the development of intellectual property rights and innovation and technology, further strengthen ties with enterprises, enhance mutual understanding and communication, and promote the sustainable development of a recycling-oriented society in Hong Kong.
