The recently issued Notice of Guangdong Provincial Intellectual Property Administration on Accelerating the Construction of Strong Cities with Intellectual Property Rights proposes to accelerate the implementation of regional intellectual property strategies, build a regional development pattern of "One Core, One Belt, One Zone", take overall responsibility for strengthening the spatial layout of intellectual property regional development, continuously improve regional intellectual property governance capabilities and comprehensive strength, create a number of strong cities, counties, and industrial parks with intellectual property rights, and build an internationally first-class core area for intellectual property protection and application.

As one of the regions with the highest number of intellectual property applications, the most complete protection and application mechanisms, the strongest comprehensive strength, and the greatest international influence in China, Guangdong has promoted high-quality development of intellectual property in the province from the perspective of building a new pattern of regional coordinated development of intellectual property, which is commendable.
